Public status methodology
We separate entry-page reachability from stronger functional evidence so a single timeout is never presented as a confirmed outage.
Reachability
Reachable means a read-only public entry-page request returned HTTP < 500 inside the probe window. Mixed entries are degraded; no successful selected entry is unreachable for that observation.
Freshness
Snapshots have a six-hour freshness window. Older observations remain history and must be marked stale.
Functional evidence
“Search operational” requires independent search probes, multiple bait queries, extraction checks and meaningful query-to-query differences.
Incident threshold
Incident publication requires at least two independent probes, corroboration across entries or mirrors, persistence beyond the configured window, and rule or human confirmation. One timeout, TLS error or HTTP 5xx is not an incident.
Redaction
Internal source URLs, selectors, templates, handlers, weights, samples, private telemetry and user-level data are never published.
